We went to the Apple Store last night to pick up a new super PowerBook for Carl (along with Tiger) and Babette decided to try her latest gadget.

A Week Later

A week after moving the trees and planting the new herbs: all seems to be in order and soon we should have some real sings of the spring.

Babette proceeded with the initial 'finition': laying down the white rocks that protect the soil (mostly from the strong winds) and improve the aesthetic quality of the planters.

Our rosemary is clearly much happier outdoors. It managed to survive the winter, despite the heating system (it required regular baths in the shower...).

And the new look. I am expecting the maple to bloom in a week or so. It should be very nice, especially when the new herbs get going.

Garden Redecoration

Well, we decided we needed to move some of our trees around and it took us all day to move three of them: a spruce, a cypress and a japanese maple. The maple almost literally killed us: it is so heavy that we finally had to get someone from downstairs to help me lift it into its new home. Even with help, it was not easy. But now everything looks much better and Babette can proceed with planting the new herbs and trimming the maple.
